Final budget on county agenda
McCOOK, Neb. — Red Willow County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing in anticipation of approval of the annual budget Monday during a regular meeting beginning at 9 a.m. in the courthouse.
Approval of the budget would also include a routine decision to increase the base of restricted funds by an additional 1 percent.
The budget is set to transfer $669,746 from the general fund to the road/bridge fund, 28.9123% of the general fund levy to the self-insurance fund and the transfer of $609,000 from the inheritance fund to the general fund, as needed.
Prior to the budget hearing, Deputy County Assessor Lori Stevens will present a contract with appraisal consultants Pritchard & Abbott and she will also present tax roll corrections.
Treasurer Crystal Sack will also present a resolution to strike personal property taxes for a mobile home on leased land and an update on county sales certificates.
The board will review informal bids for a Lycox Front-Mount Retriever for the roads department.
The consent agenda includes a resolution regarding the county’s policy on illegal immigrants, as well as a liquor license for Just 1 More Bar & Grill LLC.
