Top placers from recent McCook disc golf tournament
McCOOK, Neb. — The Southwest Nebraska Family Resource Center board members and staff thanks the community for their support at the recent McCook Doubles Disc Golf tournament hosted by Disc Gauntlet sponsored by Community Hospital and McDonald’s Leonard Management.
The tournament on Saturday, Aug. 24, drew more than 50 players from McCook and surrounding communities.
The winners from each division are as follows:
Recreational Doubles: 1st Place: Mark and Steven Samuelson, “Stogeys and Bogeys” , 2nd Place: Bob Birge and Chase Hallsted, “Arborists”, 3rd Place: “19 and ¾ Fingers”.
Amateur Doubles: 1st Place: Jaxon and Jayden Teichmeier, “Birdie Bro Club”, 2nd Place: Peyton and Devin Rambali, “The Scoop”, 3rd Place: “Acing Together”.
Professional Doubles: 1st Place: Thomas Reed and James King, 2nd Place: “Sub Par Performers”, 3rd Place: “Logan Grass Fan Club”, 4th Place: “Underage and Under Par”.
The tournament raised more than $8,000 for the Family Resource Center that will be used to provide vital services to the families in the community.
The Family Resource Center provides many services including a clothing exchange, bread giveaway, back to school supply giveaway, Christmas Tree of Love program, and clothing giveaways.
