Bison tennis boys take down Stars in dual; third at York

KEARNEY, Neb. — We’re No. 1 was definitely true for McCook’s tennis boys with both the top singles and doubles winning over Kearney Catholic Monday.

Senior Max Proehl continued his great efforts at No. 1 singles and deliverd an 8-2 victory.

Earlier, senior Reid Loop and Aaron Frank delivered an 8-5 victory in the No. 1 doubles showdown.

McCook did enough to take those other matches, 5-4, including four strong singles victories besides Proehl.

Senior Carter Hartwell captured an 8-1 triumph to go with wins for Loop, senior Sutton LaBrie and sophomore Caleb Sughroue.

Another huge Bison victory was at No. 3 doubles where new team Sughroue and Hartwell keep delivering success, 8-1, over their Kearney hosts.
