BARTLEY, Neb. - Lloyd “Kenneth” Riddle, 83, of Bartley passed away on Aug. 18, 2024 in Lincoln, Neb. Ken is survived by his sister Phyllis Riddle and niece Kristina Wood. He is preceded in death by his sister Kathy Riddle, mother Sadie Riddle and father Lloyd Riddle.

Ken was born in McCook on Jan. 7, 1941 and was a proud farmer, treasured son, big brother and uncle. Ken graduated from UNSA Curtis High School, UNL and Officer Candidate School in Newport RI. He served in the US Navy before returning to the family farm in Bartley Neb. Kenneth retired from farming in 2021 and took up “big city life” in McCook.

Throughout his 57-year farming career he never stopped reading historic accounts of military operations in WWI and WWII. We will forever remember him for his love of Nebraska football, skiing, sailing, flying his airplane, tending to his grass fed cattle and his knack for cat naming.

Donations in his memory may be sent to the Hereford Youth Foundation of America.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, Neb. North Platte Honor Guard is providing military honors. Lincoln Family Funeral Care in Lincoln, Neb. is assisting his family with arrangements.
