McCook golf girls score 15-stroke win over North Platte

McCOOK, Neb. — Junior Kapri Loop finished first overall with 41 and led the McCook High girls to a 10-stroke triumph against visiting North Platte in Tuesday's nine-hole dual at Heritage Hills.

Loop and teammate Lainey Peters placed 1-2 with Peters firing 44 which bested North Platte leader Janee Wagner's 50.

North Platte's Neeva Wagner finished fourth at 51 but Bison sophomore Paige Broomfield shot 52 for fifth. Overall, McCook totaled 193 as a team compared to North Platte scoring 208.

Other Bison scores on a breezy Tuesday:

Haley Beideck 56, Hailey Smalley 58, Ellie Siegfried 59, Natalie Ruggles 61, Braelyn Dunworth 65, Lacey Rouse 69 and Kenzie Michaelis 73.

Bulldog Amelia Wenburg shared fifth place with Broomfield as both carded a round of 52.

Haylie Welk's 55 and Presley Pattera at 56 were the next best North Platte scores.
