Dozer Day offers hands-on adventure
LINCOLN, Neb. — The Nebraska Chapter of the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA of Nebraska) has announced the return of its annual Nebraska Dozer Day event. Dozer Day is a unique event that puts kids in the driver's seat of real construction equipment! Kids of all ages can join the fun this year on September 28th & 29th at the Sarpy County Fairgrounds in Springfield, Nebraska. The event runs from 10am – 4pm each day.
NUCA of Nebraska along with their generous sponsors are giving kids hands-on opportunities to test-drive real construction equipment. This opportunity to get behind the wheel with a trained equipment operator by their side is an unparalleled dream come to life. Each kid will get to operate and ride on multiple pieces of equipment, play in sand piles, operate remote equipment, and other fun construction activities. There will be plenty of static equipment for photo opportunities as well as some adult areas to try their hands on operations as well. In addition to operating large pieces of equipment, guests can enjoy additional activities, food and giveaways at sponsor booths. Nebraska Dozer Day is fun for the whole family.

This year’s charitable partner is TeamMates Mentoring. “TeamMates Mentoring is thrilled to partner with NUCA of Nebraska and Dozer Day Nebraska. We believe this is a great fit for TeamMates Mentors and Mentees as the event provides a unique hands-on educational opportunity and exposes our youth to new career pathways. “This not only helps to sustain the industry in our communities but also is a fun event for all youth”, said DeMoine Adams, CEO TeamMates Mentoring. A portion of the proceeds from the Dozer Day Nebraska event will be donated to the Nebraska chapter of TeamMates Mentoring.
