Never Give Up on a Vegas trip! Two teams advance

NORTH PLATTE Neb. — “Never Give Up” and “The Burton Bunch”, both out of TJ’s Family Fun Center in McCook will advance to the American Poolplayers Association (APA) World Pool Championships in Las Vegas after winning the Western Nebraska APA World Qualifier Tournaments held at Eagles Club recently.

Coming up just short of advancing to the World Pool Championships and earning a cash prize for their second-place finish were “Spoon Monkeys” and “Shooters 8-Ball”, both out of Eagles Club in McCook, Long Sticks out of TJ’s Family Fun Center in McCook, and “Taking Lessons” out of Just 1 More in Hayes Center.

Teams that advance to the Vegas events receive a generous travel allowance, paid entry fees/greens fees and complimentary lodging at Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino, site of the APA World Pool Championships.

Once in Vegas, teams compete for cash prizes including up to $30,000 for first place.
