Public invited to send-off for MPCC Rodeo Team

McCOOK, Neb. — Mid-Plains Community College will host a send-off for its rodeo team on Thursday.

The event will provide the public with an opportunity to congratulate the seven qualifiers of the MPCC Rodeo Team who will be competing at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyo. June 9-15.

Kahiwa Augustiro and Koby Jacobson will compete in the bull riding, Augustiro and Jackson Lunn in bareback riding, Rex Day and Cinch Painter in steer wrestling, Jaxton Starr in team roping (heeler), and Whitney Jennings in breakaway.

The send-off will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the west side of the Kiplinger Arena in McCook. The event is open to the public.

Hamburgers and hotdogs will be served for a free-will donation.
