McCOOK, Neb. – If the tempting culinary delights and captivating entertainment fail to pique your interest, The Hillcrest Foundation has introduced two auction items to enhance the appeal of their Night on the Hill event. Night on the Hill is scheduled for this upcoming Saturday at McCook Memorial Auditorium.

The event features performances by the talented Dueling Pianos by Fun Pianos, along with a delectable meal and a cash bar. This won’t be your ordinary fundraiser bar adorned with a plastic tablecloth on a banquet table. Hillcrest Foundation Board Member Randy Dean has showcased his carpentry skills by crafting a stunning six-and-a-half-foot oak and walnut bar, which will be auctioned off to the highest bidder on Saturday night.

Furthermore, Culbertson Artist Don Dernovich has graciously contributed an original oil painting titled “Day’s Last Call”. Measuring 18 x 24 inches, the framed artwork portrays Dernovich’s passion for wildlife and the outdoors. Dernovich is renowned for his participation in numerous prestigious juried and invitational shows, and his recognition in “Who’s Who in American Art”. His work is represented by “Leslie Still Fine Art” in Jackson, Wyoming; “Spirit in the Winds Gallery” in Golden, Colorado; and the “Blackhawk Gallery” in Saratoga, Wyoming.

Although the reserved tables for the meal and show have reached capacity, balcony seating for the show only remains available at $20 per ticket. The show commences at 7:30 p.m., and tickets can be purchased at the door. For those with reserved seating, doors open at 5:30 p.m.

The Hillcrest Foundation plays a vital role in providing support to both residents and staff members of Hillcrest across various domains. This assistance encompasses building enhancements, enhancing residents’ quality of life, acknowledging staff contributions, and offering tuition aid for staff members to pursue further education or certification completion.
