Vehicle purchases, business park projects on City Council agenda
McCOOK, Neb. — Several major expenditures are included in the consent agenda at Monday’s meeting of the McCook City Council.
The meeting, which begins at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers in the Municipal Building at West Fifth and C, may also include an executive session regarding potential litigation.
Expenditures to be considered include awarding a $248,054.70 contract to Midlands Contracting of Kearney for the sanitary sewer and water main extension in the McCook Business Park Phase II, $41,738 for one pickup truck, $90,962 for two other pickup trucks to Wagner Ford and $41,093 for an SUV to Wagner Toyota, and $278,000 to Nebraska Machinery for a loader for use by the Solid Waste Department.
The council will also be updated on the pool and ballpark projects, as well as an ordinance to allow UTVs to operate on city streets.
The council will also consider new cemetery fees on the third and final reading.
The executive session regards potential litigation over the property at 1111 East H owned by Cindy and Ron Sabin.
