Husker football gets two more games on national TV
NBC Sports announced its fall B1G football coverage schedule Wednesday, and the Matt Rhule-led Huskers are set to appear on the major network twice in the month of November.
The first is on November 11, when the Maryland Terrapins come to Memorial Stadium for a 2:30 p.m. game.
Nebraska has faced Maryland only two other times, notching big wins in both 2019 and 2016.
The next week on Nov. 18, the Huskers will head to Wisconsin for a 6:30 p.m. night game, which will be a matchup of two first-year head coaches in Rhule and the Badgers’ Luke Fickell.
The national television slate is a great opportunity for a team that’s looking to get back into contention with their new head coach and strong class of recruits.
There’s no question Nebraska is one of the teams with the most exposure around the league, but the back-to-back nationally televised games will further prove that “Nebraska football is back, baby.”
Nebraska kicks off its season on Thursday, Aug. 31 at Minnesota with a 7 p.m. kickoff time on FOX.
FOX also has Nebraska at Colorado, the “Big Noon” game on Sept. 9.
