Tigers regain footing to take third at D-1 state tournament

Dundy County-Stratton senior Alex Englot gets bumped to the Bob Devaney Center floor after making a late steal against North Platte St. Patrick's in their Class D-1 state semifinal game Friday morning. Some felt an intentional foul could have been called, but was not and the No. 1-seed Irish eventually held on to a 43-40 victory. LINCOLN, Neb. — Leaders from the final two Dundy County-Stratton state tournament games with more details appearing in Tuesday's edition of the McCook Gazette.

The Tigers finished with a 24-5 record and third place among all Class D-1 teams.

Freshman Ethan Latta scored 10 of the 26 third-quarter points which helped Dundy County-Stratton take charge and avenge three earlier losses to Maywood-Hayes Center this season.
