NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — The Maywood-Hayes Center boys have earned a potential state finals preview on reigning champ North Platte St. Patrick’s home court tonight.

On Tuesday, the 24-1 Wolves knocked out powerful 18-5 Elm Creek in a 50-40 D-1 subdistrict semifinal.

Junor Haydn Farr’s 20 points powered the Wolves through one of their lower-scoring games this season.

Farr buried seven of his 11 field-goal tries for 64 percent.

Senior Hayden Kramer contributed 13 points, junior Jeremiah Ingison added eight, sophomore Jon Patel six and senior Kyler Cox another three points.

Kramer also pulled in 10 rebounds besides delivering five assists. He’s aiming for his third district title game after playing two with the Medicine Valley Raiders.

However, the Wolves must get through North Platte St. Patrick’s (21-2) tonight to decide this subdistrict title.

The Irish have been rolling and didn’t struggle much through a 69-52 semifinal win over 18-5 South Loup on Tuesday.

The Irish are 10-0 playing in their home gymnasium this season.
