McCook JV girls win final three of season

McCOOK, Neb. — Coach David Peterman provided some final details as the McCook High JV girls finished with three strong basketball wins last week.

“We finished with a 7-9 record. Five of those wins by three points or less and two wins in overtime.

We learned a lot about how to win close games, clock management, and how to fight back. Some of the team members played varsity quarters. Paige Bortner only played two quarters of JV every game and was still a leader on the court and in stats.

Big wins over Chase County 43-42, North Platte 40-37 and Scottsbluff 34-32.
