40th anniversary

Don and Dee Mietzner of Alma, Neb., celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Sept. 3, 2022. Don is a 1969 graduate of Stratton, Neb. The couple met in Great Bend., Kan., and moved to Alma in early 1994, where Don  worked for Phelps sheriff’s office in immigration and Dee worked in assisted living.They both retired in 2018 and now enjoy playing grandpa and grandma. Their family includes children, Bill and Leah Becker of Hoisington, Kan., Dave and Sarah Becker of Overton, Neb., Laurie and Mark Bennett of Alma, Neb., Carly and Derek Oakland of Lincoln, Neb., and 4 grandchildren.
