Accompanied by Sgt. Winston Cavendish of New Orleans, Ashworth explained the 50-year-old program on a whistle-stop tour through the 20 top counties in the state with railroad crossing incidents. In a special effort to reach young drivers, she urged schools to make driver education mandatory, and to include a session about railroad crossing safety.
