Swedes tough on MCC freshman spikers

GOTHENBURG, Neb. — McCook coach Tara Peterman offered these comments following Gothenburg’s 25-8, 25-14 volleyball victory over the McCook Bison on Tuesday.

“Gothenburg has a very solid program and a very large and talented freshman class. We knew they were going to be a challenge going into the game because we had already seen them in Hershey. I’m glad that we play teams like this and really get to see what we need to work on.

Communication is huge in volleyball and that is something we still need to fine tune in order to see the results of the other things that they have been working on in practice.

Serve receive has also been a tough part of our game the last few weeks and I am happy we get a good week of practice to work on this before our quad at Rawlins County on Saturday.”
