Chase sweeps through two at home with FCB

IMPERIAL, Neb. — The Chase County Juniors held on for a 7-6 “suspended” win then fought off McCook First Central Bank’s comback, 9-8, in Friday’s regularly-scheduled contest.

The 7-6 contest was resumed from a June 2 game in McCook.

Game two featured a four-run Chase fourth inning where Mason Wallin, Cooper Dillan and Jaret Peterson delivered clutch RBI-hits.

The FCB Juniors nearly rallied from six runs down during their final at-bat.

Beckett Heskett, Jaret Neben and Bryson Gullion all drove home teammates in the five-run comeback.

Quentin Terry added two more FCB hits, but Chase County finally completed the win.

Thomas Reeves added two hits for Chase County hits.Peterson earned the pitching victory, striking out five during three frames.
