Freshman's 24 keeps Rawlins roaring along at 16-4
ATWOOD, Kan. — Freshman Taten Dewey put an awesome 24 points through the nets to lead Rawlins County’s 60-56 win over a tough Dighton Hornets team last weekend.
The Buffaloes are now 16-4 as they prepare for Kansas 1A substate play.
Dewey was absolutely devastating from long distance where she drilled six three-point shots.
In fact, she tallied all 24 during Rawlins’ 32-point second half.
Senior Sadie Sramek mixed in another 11 points during one of her final regular-season games. She’s been a steady player during these past three seasons for coach Deone Horinek’s team.
Freshman Reece Smith added six points with Emilee Higley scoring five.
Senior Rylee Unruh and Michael Rippe each finished with four points.
