ENID, Okla. —Camilo “Clem” Lopez Garcia, age 90, of Enid, passed away Feb. 13, 2022, at his home in Enid.
Clem was born Aug. 18, 1931, in Karnes City, Texas, to parents, Alfonso and Mercedes Garcia. He was one of 12 children born to this union.
Clem proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, from Oct. 30, 1951 to Oct. 29, 1954, during the Korean Conflict. Clem was well known in Enid and had a smile for everyone who came into the D&T Convenience Store where he was employed. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
Clem enjoyed fishing and collecting coins and pocket knives.
Clem was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria, and son, Marty, who were killed in a car accident in 1971. Also preceded in death are three sisters, Hope, Connie, and Mercedes; and one brother, Ray.
Those left to celebrate his life are his children, Zulema Garcia Stone, Greg Garcia, Myra Garcia, Mario Garcia, Olan Garcia and Camille Garcia; siblings, Alfonso Jr., Dora, Martha, Rosie, Lupita, Sara and Marian; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; adopted family, Dee and Thao Nguyen and many extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home, McCook, with Father Gary Brethour as Celebrant.
Inurnment with Military Honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery, McCook.
