Search continues for chamber leader
McCOOK, Neb. – Applications are still being accepted for the position of the McCook Chamber President said Chamber Board of Directors Chairperson Lori Beeby. “We’re looking for someone that’s passionate about the community and wanting to run with the daily activities of the chamber,” Beebe told the Gazette. Other duties include coordinating events and working with chamber members. The selection committee has begun the process of interviewing candidates, but they also welcome additional applications.
A ribbon cutting is scheduled for new chamber member Joltin Joes on Monday at 11 a.m.
On Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m., the chamber will make a presentation to GTA insurance as their first quarter honor business for 2022.
Committees are being organized for several events in 2022, such as the Chamber Block Party (formerly the annual chamber banquet), Crazy Days, and Heritage Days. Crazy Days will be held in June this year, from June 23 to 25. Also moving to a new date is Heritage Days, which will be held October 3 to 8.
The Chamber Block Party is still being planned but will probably occur sometime in May or June. The chamber’s annual meeting will be held in March in conjunction with the chamber board of director’s meeting, and all chamber members are welcome to attend the annual meeting to hear the annual update.
