Rotary Club thankful for support of community
Dear Editor,
On behalf of the McCook Rotary Club we would like to thank the community, law enforcement, McCook Public Schools, McCook Gazette and local radio stations, High Plains Radio and Hometown Radio, for supporting and visiting the Global Connections International Human Trafficking Mobile Experience while it was here in McCook Sept. 22-27.
Keeping our youth safe in this day and age is critical. McCook Rotary was humbled by the outstanding support for the project. It is our hope this helps our community to become more vigilant, and our youth more aware of the dangers the Internet present.
This problem is not one that will go away easily, so we must constantly keep our guard up. The Mobile Experience provides information and real life solutions to this horrible crime.
For more information on McCook Rotary please contact me. Rotary’s mission statement is simple, “Service Above Self.”
It is through this focus we as Rotarians strive to help make McCook a better, safer place to live.
