GOTHENBURG, Neb. — A narrow 27-25 finale stopped McCook’s quest to inflict volleyball vengeance on Lexington and Gothenburg Thursday evening.

Coach Audrey Feeney’s 7-16 team were coming off a five-win week including three at the Scottsbluff tourney.
Junior Gracie Wiemers drilled four kills past Gothenburg while sophomore Korina Rippen clubbed three.
Senior Makynna Cunningham and junior Josslyn Claflin each served an ace.
Senior libero Peyton Doucet made 12 digs with Cunningham totaling seven sets. No leaders from the Lex match were obtained.
