Saints fall to Stars in subdistrict softball final
KEARNEY, Neb. — The Southern Valley-Alma Saints softball team beat Minden but lost to Kearney Catholic in Monday’s Class C subdistrict finals.

Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity managed through a push by Minden in the first inning where Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity coughed up four runs, but Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity still won 14-6 on Monday. Minden batters contributing to the big inning included Lexi Anderson and Cloee Johnson, all driving in runs in the frame.
Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity collected eight hits and Minden had four in the high-scoring affair.
