McCOOK, Neb. — Russel Hiatt Jones, age 78, of McCook, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, Neb.

Russel was born Oct. 19, 1942, in McCook to parents, Kenneth and Vada (Relph) Jones. Russel graduated from high school in Hayes Center, Neb., before going on to attend Kearney State College.

On Sept. 25, 1994, Russel married Doris (Woosley) Jones. He was employed by Walmart for over 20 years, where he enjoyed working in the electronics department. Outside of work, Russel enjoyed cooking, playing Xbox and spending time with his grandchildren.

Russel was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Linda.

Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Doris Jones of McCook; two sons; five daughters; one brother; 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are suggested in Russel’s name for future designation and may be directed to the Jones Family, 406 East 2nd Street, McCook, NE 69001.
