PALISADE, Neb. — Marsha Eloise Kirk, age 74, of Palisade, passed away on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, at Great Plains Health in North Platte, Neb.

Marsha was born Jan. 6, 1947, in Maysville, Ky., to parents, William J. and Virginia Eloise (Workman) Palecek. She was the oldest of three children born to this union.

On Oct. 18, 1965, Marsha married Lloyd Kirk in Monroe, Mich. The couple was blessed with two children, James and Rebecca. Over the years, Marsha enjoyed her time spent at home, raising her children and being a helpmate to Lloyd. She was a wonderful seamstress and cook. She sewed many outfits for her family throughout the years and loved to fix large meals for all to enjoy. Marsha was also a gifted musician and organ player who gave of her talents selflessly. She collected china and loved gardening and flowers, especially roses.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to celebrate her life include her husband, Lloyd Kirk of Palisade; children, James (Sherlynn) Kirk of Palisade and Becky Smith of Rushville, Neb.; two brothers, Paul Palecek of Sterling, Colo., and Stephen Palecek of North Platte; as well as eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends.

Visitation with family present to greet friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m., today, Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021 at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home, McCook.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Central Time/10 a.m. Mountain Time, on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at the Southwest Nebraska Holiness Church, 34850 Road 724, rural Wauneta, Neb., with Rev. Lloyd Bley officiating.

Burial will follow in the Eden Cemetery, rural Wauneta.
