McCook swimmers finish regular season in fine style

OXFORD, Neb. — The McCook Summer Swim Team wrapped up its regular season Saturday in Oxford.
McCook faced Southern Valley, Alma, Franklin and Kensington as part of the Plains Tsunami Swim League (PTSL).
Swimmers are working to improve their personal best times so that they have times in the top 16 in each event in their age division for the championship meet in McCook taking place on July 17.

McCook swimmers earning first place in at least three of their individual scoring events included Aiden Renner, Ashlynn Renner, Blake Rodewald, Bronson Frazier, Emma Graff, Ethan Spencer, Kailynn Rodewald and Kolbe Foster.
McCook swimmers who ended the day with at least two first-place finishes and a second-place were Amanda Kinne and Deacon Kinne.
The McCook swim team is part of the Plains Tsunami Swim League, which encompasses central and southwest Nebraska, northwest Kansas and northeast Colorado and is open to all ages from youth through adult.
McCook swimmers are spending this week at fun, relay meets throughout the league, where relay teams are created of all ages and genders for the meet but no times are kept.
McCook will return to hosting on Saturday, July 10 with one of four area qualifying meets, which will feature eight area teams.
The PTSL championships will be in McCook on Saturday, July 17 with 35 teams from around the area at the McCook City Pool on East M Street.
