McCOOK, Neb. — The McCook National Bank Seniors learned about areas they can improve following three tough defeats during this past weekend.

MNB’s still 3-3 following a rough 13-1 home loss to Minden Sunday afternoon.

Layne Stevens drilled two doubles for the best MNB highlights, scoring that one McCook run on a single from teammate Alex Anthony.

The Seniors totaled six hits but seven errors helped Minden break loose from a 1-1 tie.

On Saturday, the Seniors dropped another 13-1 decision to visiting Ogallala at McCook’s Jaycees Complex.

Anthony drew two walks and eventually scored the one MNB run.

Friday night featured a tight 4-2 loss to Broken Bow which ended the Seniors’ three-game opening streak.

McCook rallied from 4-0 down against the hosts behind Carter Larson and Jordan Chauncy driving home late runs. Tanner Jacobs and Anthony both delivered two hits. The Seniors could get no closer even though Chancy recorded 11 strikeouts to keep Bow within striking range.
