McCOOK, Neb. — Faye Louise Colby, age 75, of McCook, passed away at Community Hospital in McCook on Sunday, May 23, 2021. 

She was born in Trenton on Jan. 10, 1946, to Stephen and Lela (Degele) Harrison.  She attended school in Trenton and later received her GED.  In 1981, on the 17th of September, Faye she was united in marriage to Larry Colby. Larry preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 2005.

 Faye bought the business, Jack of all Treats, a vehicle that sold ice cream and treats. She traveled to many fairs and community gatherings with her mobile sweet shop. She later was employed at Gas’n Shop and Walmart, where she worked in the sporting goods and toy departments.

Faye enjoyed traveling. She visited Canada, Mexico, and many other states in the US.  Faye loved Colorado and South Dakota. She also traveled to Missouri to visit family and Council Bluffs, Iowa, to play the penny slots. She loved family gatherings and was happiest when surrounded by her family and closest friends. She was a tremendous baker known for her chocolate chip and sour cream cookies.  Faye enjoyed knitting, making many afghans.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; parents, Stephen and Lela; son, Eugene Colby; and brother, Ronnie Harrison.

 Faye will be missed by her three daughters, Micky (James) Jenkins of Exeter, Mo.; Terri (David) Desrochers of Cassville, Mo.; and Teresa Kipp of McCook; two sons, Jason (Jaimie Brush) Colby of Wilsonville, Neb., and Richard (Kim) Kramer of Atwood, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; siblings, Stephen (LaDonna) Harrison of Lebanon, Neb., and Marilyn Barnett of Trenton, Neb. 

Memorial services will be Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 2 p.m., at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel of McCook with Pastor Jeff Kelley officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, McCook.
