Work will begin on US-183, south of Holdrege

McCOOK, Neb. — Weather permitting, work will begin April 26, on US-183, south of Holdrege, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

 Vontz Paving, Inc. of Hastings, Nebraska, has the $6,259,150 contract. Work includes culvert work, grading, bridge repair, shoulder pavement replacement, and asphaltic concrete overlay. A 15-foot width restriction will be in place during the bridge repair and a 12-foot width restriction will be in place for the

asphaltic concrete work. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers and a pilot vehicle. Temporary signals will be used at the bridge location. Anticipated completion is late fall 2021.
