Dunkin' Raiders rule rivalry with neighbor Wolves
MAYWOOD, Neb. — Medicine Valley’s boys gained a split of the neighborhood rivarly with their 68-51 win over Maywood-Hayes Center Tuesday night.
M-HC girls ruled the first varsity game, and those dangerous Wolves (13-7 record) only trailed 14-13 through one quarter of game two.
Yet Medicine Valley (10-6) showed a good team won’t stay down long — especially with high-flying junior Hayden Kramer hammering down two slam dunks.
The Raiders rebounded from two tough RPAC tourney losses to take control of Tuesday’s contest.
They built a 31-26 halftime lead which soon reached double figures before Wolves sharpshooter Weston Morrow (four three-pointers) helped spark a mini-comeback.
The Raiders brought their own long-rangegunner in sophomore Joe Brown (four threes) while regaining control.
Hayden Kramer’s corner three answered a basket from M-HC’s Haydn Farr.
Kramer soon went inside for another “traditional” three-point play to make it 54-41.
Brown quickly connected on another trifecta.
Lane Lenz’s basket and the second Hayden Kramer dunk created a largest margin of 61-41.
