City, county consider housing pledge
McCOOK, Neb. — Both the Red Willow County Commissioners and McCook City Council are considering a pledge of $25,000 local matching funds for a housing grant.
MEDC director Andy Long requested the City of McCook contribute $25,000 of ACE funds to be committed toward the local match amount of $150,000.
A story Thursday incorrectly indicated the council had agreed to make the pledge. It will actually be on the agenda for an official vote at the Dec. 21 meeting.
Red Willow County Commissioners will consider a similar pledge to the workforce housing grant at their meeting Monday in the Red Willow County Courthouse.
Other topics on the commissioners meeting include a tax roll correction, a proposed tower lease, an update on the pandemic and other routine subjects.
