Bison remind fans of winter virus policies

McCOOK, Neb. — McCook High winter sports officially begin on Friday with the first home basketball games against Chase County set for 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Junior varsity contests tip off at those same times in McCook Junior High.
Bison officials released information this week reminding that only household family members will be allowed to attend because of COVID-19.
Chase County will need to provide a list of household members for each athlete and coach.
“We ask that you only attend your son or daughters contest. We will not allow entrance to the game until 15 minutes before the start of your contest,” the McCook High press release stated. “If there is an issue with seating. the gyms will be cleared between games.
Here are some other policies to remember:
· Individuals are expected to conduct a self-screen prior to coming to the event.
· All individuals are required to wear a face covering at all times.
· Fans will need to sit in the areas on the bleachers that are not marked to socially distance themselves from others.
· In the high school seating for visiting fans will be on the north side of the gym only.
· Seating for McCook fans will be on the south side of the high school gym only if crowd dictates we will allow seating on the northwest corner of the gym.
· Seating at the Junior High—McCook fans will be located on the stage or on the south end of the west bleachers, visiting fans will be located on the west side unless unable to use stairs then they may sit on the east side stage.
· Restrooms for all fans will be located at the northeast corner of the gym area. We do not have separate restrooms. · Hand sanitizing stations will be available.
· The varsity games can be viewed online at McCookBison.tv.
· Visiting cheerleading squads will not be allowed.
· Temperatures will be taken before departing and documented for all team personnel.
· Concessions are not available at this time.
· Team meals will not be allowed.
