DeWITT, Neb. — The Dundy County-Stratton Tigers and Tri-County Trojans will kick off at 6 p.m. for their Class D-1 state football semifinal, Tri-County school officials confirmed this morning.

Both teams are 10-0 with one more win sending them to the state championship game at Lincoln's Memorial Stadium on Monday, Nov. 23.

Tri-County's field is located about three miles south of DeWitt on Highway 104. Google declares driving distance from McCook to DeWitt is 207 miles.

The Tigers trounced Stanton, 50-24, in last week's quarterfinals while Tri-County took out Weeping Water, 44-28. Ti-County will host because of its East No. 1 seed compared to DC-S being No. 2 in the West.

West No. 1 Burwell and East No. 2 Cross County play Friday's other D-1 semifinal. Both are undefeated.

Watch for more details in the McCook Gazette this week.
