Broncos join Wolves, Trojans in Saturday district finals

LINCOLN, Neb. Wauneta-Palisade still advanced into Saturday’s district finals as a wildcard after battling unbeaten Maywood-Hayes Center a fourth time Tuesday night, according to the latest nsaahome.org information.

The Broncos are seeded 15th in Class D-2 and play district finals match at Minden against No. 2-seed CWC. They're 16-11 with four matches against those 27-0 Wolves, who beat W-P in Tuesday's subdistrict final at Hayes Center.

First serve is set for 4 p.m. in Minden High School’s gymnasium.

The M-HC Wolves are seeded No. 3 overall and will meet No. 14 Sioux County at Sidney High School Saturday afternoon. This D2-3 district final is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. MDT.

Cambridge (15-7) won the D1-11 subdistrict and will take on No. 5-seed South Platte in Hayes Center Saturday. The match should begin at 6 p.m. CDT or 5 p.m. MDT.
