McCOOK, Neb. — Steven Lee Weaver, age 30, of McCook, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2020, in rural Indianola, Neb.

Steven was born Oct. 12, 1989, in Cambridge, Neb., to parents, Kenneth L  Weaver, Sr. and Michelle “Shelly” (Manzer) Adams.  He was one of six children.  

On May 18, 2012, Steven married Tai-Lynn M. (Rae) Weaver.  Steven became a step-father to son, Nicklas Thomas and together with Tai, he was blessed with two daughters, Evylynn and Mia.

Steven had recently began a tree removal service, KW and Son’s Tree Service, with his father, Ken. In his free time, Steven enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on his jeep.  He had a love of travel, which included hill climbing in the mountains.  Steven attended the Red Willow Cowboy Church.  

Steven was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.

Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Tai Weaver and children, Nicklas Thomas and Evylynn and Mia Weaver, all of McCook; father, Kenneth Weaver, Sr. of Overton, Neb.; mother, Shelly Adams of McCook; brothers, Kenneth (Jess) Weaver, Jr., of Cambridge, Neb., and Kaden Weaver of Overton; sisters, Deatta Weaver of Ogallala, Neb., Courtney (AJ) Hettinger of Hastings, Neb., and Mackenzie Weaver of Denver, Colo.; maternal grandparents, Jack Manzer of Omaha, Neb., and Anita Hansen of McCook; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and extended family members.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m., on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook with Pastor Rick Bradley officiating.

A private family burial will take place at Grove Cemetery at a later date.
