'Riders sweep on road at Arapahoe
ARAPAHOE, Neb. — Southwest served 14 aces to go with sophomore Caylin Barnett’s 13 kills during a 25-17, 25-11, 25-20 sweep of Arapahoe Tuesday night.
Barnett and freshman Bryn Lampe both served a team-best five aces while senior Haylee Adams (two), junior Bailey Oltmer and sophomore Bailey Truksa (one) joined in this fine array for the 8-5 Roughriders.
Truksa drilled five more kills besides her team-best eight digs. Lampe totaled 18 assists.
Sophomore McKenzie Holliday’s five kills and four from classmate Emerson Swanson powered the 3-10 Arapahoe Warriors. Junior Hope Koller and sophomore Gentry Warner both served a pair of aces.
Medicine Valley (5-5) also lost three sets to Alma (12-6) on Tuesday despite senior Acelyn Klein’s eight kills and 12 digs. Jessa Bailey totaled 15 assists.
