McCOOK, Neb. — McCook's JV volleyball girls are now 11-0 after finishing their home season with a 25-17, 25-19 triumph over visiting Cambridge on Tuesday.

Coach Tara Peterman offered these insights about her unbeaten team:

"The girls came out and played hard that first set. It was the best I have seen them move and play as a team in a few weeks. They had great energy coming out and it showed, which is something we have been lacking the last few games.

Our hitters and our setter, Jaci Meyers, really connected this game.

Gracie Weimers had a good night. She attacked the open areas on the floor and was a big leader for us.

Emma Dutton also did a great job getting in the air and hitting high off of the blockers hands. She is a hard player to block because she gets so high off of the floor. Karragan Shaw and our libero, Ainsley Taylor, did a great job moving their feet and not letting any easy balls drop.

Joy Rippen stepped in for a starter we were missing and she did a wonderful job on the right side."

The Bison will play some road matches to close their 2020 season. More results and details likely appear in upcoming editions of the Gazette.
