NORTON, Kan. — Dewaine V. Stapp, 90, died Wednesday (March 11, 2020), at Whispering Pines in Norton.

He was born Nov. 17, 1929, northwest of Norcatur, Kan., to Ray J. and Emma (Bailey) Stapp. He married Patricia D. Hatcher at the Norcatur United Methodist Church on June 12, 1949. He was a farmer and stockman. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Modern Woodmen, and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia; siblings: Donald (Goldie) Stapp and Alice (Mike) Shirley.

Survivors include children, Randy (Karen) Stapp of Elkhorn, Neb., Elaine (Greg) Hall of Argyle, Texas, and David (Patty) Stapp of Norcatur; sister, Delores (Dick) Longwith of Hastings, Neb.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were today,Friday, March 13, 2020, at Pauls Funeral Home, Oberlin. Burial was at the Norcatur Cemetery.
