Area wrestlers reach finals, take third

Chase County’s Trevor Peterson (above) finished a fantastic 41-4 season with his Class C 182-pound title match against undefeated Laithen Duda from Broken Bow Saturday afternoon. Peterson showed he was worthy, holding a 1-0 lead through two periods until Duda was able to rally and triumph, 5-3. Arapahoe heavyweight Levi Kerner (below) was triumphant on Saturday, winning two matches to take third in Class D.
