Reorganization, new Fair Board manager on county commissioner agenda
McCOOK, Neb. -- Red Willow County Commissioners will elect officers and perform a number of annual activities for their first meeting of the new decade Monday.
They will meet in the commissioners room of the Red Willow County Courthouse at 9 a.m.
The consent agenda includes a recommendation that Jiles Bowman be appointed as new Fair Board manager.
Besides new board officers, the commissioners will elect or appoint officers to the board of equalization, Noxious Weed Control Authority, E-911 Committee, RC&D Board, Region II Governing Board, Work Ethic Camp Community Involvement Committee, Hillcrest Nursing Home Board, Veterans’ Service Committee, County Visitors Committee, Fair Board, Health Board, Planning Commission, City/County Cooperation Committee, Board of Trustees of the Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department Inc. and REWARD Board of Directors.
Contracts are set to be renewed for the County Road Superintendent and Tourism Director, appointment as County Emergency Manager, official County Newspaper and county website, banks, personnel and safety committee and others.
Visitors Bureau Director Carol Schlegel will deliver an annual report.
