Eagles swoop in to sweep Arapahoe
ARAPAHOE, Neb. — The Overton Eagles were tough opening visitors who took both games from Arapahoe’s basketball teams Thursday night.
Junior Haley Fleischman hit eight of nine shots for 16 points in the Overton girls’ 44-22 victory.
Senior Terri Hilker’s 10 points led the Warriors (0-1) while freshman Gentry Warner added five points on 50 percent shooting (two for four).
Sophomores Hope Koller (four points), Emilee Hanke (two) and senior Adrienne North (one) completed Arapahoe’s scoring.
North and Koller both collected seven rebounds.
Nolan Myers scored seven points which matched Austin Roush for top honors in the Warrior boys’ 75-30 loss.
Cord Frick hit one triple and totaled five points while Tyler Miller made three baskets for six points.
Grant Taylor totaled three and Reilley Einspahr added two.
The Warriors will get ready to play in next week’s Cattle Trail Tournament. Pairings will appear on Monday.
