MAYWOOD, Neb. — Rosa Lucille Werkmeister, 89, of Maywood, Neb., died Tuesday (Nov. 19, 2019), in North Platte, Neb.

She was born Sept. 25, 1930 in Palisade, Neb., to John Leslie and Rosa Lena (Conboy) Large. She graduated high school in 1948.

She married Melvin Fred Werkmeister on June 17, 1950.

She was preceded in death by her parents and many brothers- and sisters-in-law.

Survivors include husband, Melvin Fred Werkmeister of Maywood; children, Alvin (Sina Jo) Werkmeister of Maywood, Allan Werkmeister of Curtis, Neb., Verneta Werkmeister of Maywood, and Julie (Kevin) Werkmeister Johnson of Keensburg, Colo.; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019, 2 to 4 p.m. at Blase-Wetzel-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Curtis, Neb.

Graveside services are Monday Nov. 25, 2019, 11 a.m. at the Maywood Cemetery.
