McCOOK, Neb. — What a difference six nights make as six-point plays filled the McCook Football League season finales at Weiland Field Thursday evening.

After Friday’s openers featured only four offensive TDs, there were four scores of 40 yards or more on Thursday.

Quarterback Canyon Hosick totaled four touchdowns before halftime during the Colts’ 35-6 win over the Ravens.

Hosick sandwiched two one-yard TD runs around his 35-yard fumble return and one perfect 14-yard pass to teammate Cadde Beeby.

The Colts converted all five PAT attempts with Hosick, Lincoln Michaelis, Beeby and Deandre Berry crossing goal lines.

Berry also powered one yard to the Colts’ final touchdown of their 3-0 season.

The seventh-eighth grade champions also featured Kollin Werkmeister, Miguel Garcia, Brett Fraker, Mitchel Cole, Ethan Schmidt, Andrew Prochop, Jose Perea-Campos, Mark Wolfe, Kaleb Einspahr, Isaiah Powers, Derek Noffsinger, Adyn Meyer, Brody Senff and Cole Graham.

Coach the Colts were current McCook Bison Dalton Pettera, Corban Jernigan, Cameryn Berry, Isaiah Weimers, Luke Maris, Torrington Ford and Dominic Gomez.

Jackson Kerchal’s 39-yard touchdown run provided one final highlight for the Ravens.

Earlier on Thursday, the Redskins clinched fifth-sixth-grade supremacy when they outraced the Rams, 25-6.

Nobody ran farther to an end zone this season than Bryson Gullion, whose 44-yard gallop ignited the Redskin’s third consecutive win.

Miles Pollmann promptly went 19 yards to pigskin paradise and a six-yard Blake Steinmetz burst made it 19-0 by halftime.

Grady Miller’s seven-yard run meant the Redskins matched their combined 25-point total from their other two victories.

Others playing for this undefeated team were Aidan Schwing, Hudson Dellevoet, Cruz McCarty, Trey Tiller, Brody Anthony, Gabe Roberts, Hayden Uerling, Brenden Hedrich, Kycen Bailey, Ethan Brown, Spencer Steinbeck and Dylen Trehal.

The champion Redskins coaches were Luke Roberts, Kolton Stone, Adam Beavers, Victor Schwartz, Garrett Kaps, Ean Beavers, Alex Messinger, Jacob Gomez-Wilson and Alex Anthony.

Rams continued battling and scored the final TD of this contest on Quinn Flammang’s 12-yard run.

Meanwhile, the Eagles posted Thursday’s only shutout when they blanked the Cowboys, 19-0.

Lucas Einspahr powered five yards to the first Eagles’ six points.

Footballs flew to their other two TDs as Dante Horner threw scoring strikes of two and 40 yards to Jackson Flammang.

Tate Shafer added a final conversion run for the 2-1 Eagles.

The Cowboys finished 1-2 for this season.
