McCOOK, Neb. — The Redskins responded to a Cowboys touchdown with three TDs and their 18-7 McCook Football League victory Tuesday night at Weiland Field.

Kalen McCorkle’s one-yard burst gave the Cowboys an early lead, which remained 7-6 through three quartersthanks to Ethan Latta’s PAT run.

Yet the Redskin groundwork was underway when Miles Pollmann powered into paydirt before halftime.

Though they didn’t score, the Redskins also played shutout defense during three.

They finally took control and a 12-7 lead on Bryson Gullion’s 10-yard TD.

Pollmann then unleashed the longest MFL touchdown so far this season — a 35-yard run — to seal those Redskins’ second victory. The Cowboys slipped to 0-2.
