McCOOK, Neb. — Susan Ann Webster, age 58, of McCook, died on Sunday, June 9, 2019, at the University of Nebraska Hospital in Omaha, Neb., after a brief battle with cancer.

Susan was born Sept. 17, 1960, in Loveland, Colo., the second child to Stanley and Marlene Webster. She attended school in Loveland and Goodland, Kan., before graduating from Olivia High School in Olivia, Minn., in 1979 and attending Southwest State University in Marshall, Minn.

Susan was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in McCook, where she was a song leader and would often sing at funeral masses. She has been a fixture at Farrell’s Hallmark for the past 15 years. She loved her job there and knew most customers by name.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Frank and Lydia Webster of McCook and Victor and Victoria Kashka of Goodland, Kan.; her father, Stanley Webster of McCook; and her brother-in-law, Robert Frederick of Arvada, Colo.

Susan is survived by her mother, Marlene Webster of McCook; her five siblings, Cynthia Frederick of Arvada, Gregory Webster (Jill) of Santa Maria, Calif., Yvonne Sonnek (Steve) of St. Clair, Minn., Jennifer Hillemeier (JR) of Byron, Minn., and Marc Webster (Dalette) of Alma, Neb.; and many nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, June 14, 2019, at 7 p.m., at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Gary Brethour officiating.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until after rosary.

Memorials may be addressed to St. Jude Hospital in lieu of flowers. Friends may leave online condolences at herrmannfh.com. Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel entrusted with the arrangements.

Susan will be greatly missed by her family, friends and customers.
