CSO announces All-Star Game lineups

CAMBRIDGE, Neb. — Rosters have been announced for the 35th annual Cambridge School Organization (CSO) All-Star Basketball games on Friday, May 24.

The girls will tip at 6 p.m. and boys follow in Cambridge High School’s gymnasium.

Chase County’s Chris Bartels will help direct the West boys squad which will include Longhorns Braden Space and Scott Wheeler who played on last season’s district finalists.

Arapahoe coach John Strand is one of the Eastt leaders where a few Gazette-area schools will be represented: Arapahoe with Carson Schroeder and Yordi Gutierrez; Southwest with Blake Williams and Cambridge with Preston Carbaugh.

Maywood-Hayes Center Kim Stengel is a West All-Star girls coach. The squad includes MH-C’s Jayden Widener and Paige Wood; Hitchcock County’s Kyleigh Scott and two Dundy County-Stratton state finalists in Grace Frederick and Adalene Krutsinger.

Arapahoe coach Preston Blackmore will be one of the East team leaders. Area players are Southwest’s Nicole Dewey along with an Arapahoe duo of Mariah Watson and Joslyn North. Watch for more details.
