HASTINGS, Neb. — Hastings resident Mary Ann Steinkruger, 85, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Hillcrest Nursing Home, McCook, Neb.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2019, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Paul Warneke officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials may be given to Orphan Grain Train.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m., Sunday, March 31, 2019, with family present 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. Private condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.

Mary Ann was born on June 7, 1933, in Hastings to Edward and Margaret (Katzberg) Von Kampen. She graduated from Hastings High School. Mary Ann married Neal Steinkruger on April 13, 1991; he preceded her in death on April 21, 2002.

Mary Ann worked as the office manager at Central Dental Group in Hastings for over 50 years until her retirement. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Mary Ann was the “duck lady” at Heartwell Park. She wintered in Arizona. Mary Ann loved her roses, spending time in her garden, and spending time with her family. She was a mother to many and cared for everyone.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Neal Steinkruger.

Survivors include son and spouse, Randall and Kim Korgan of McCook; daughters and spouses: Cheryl and W. Thomas Coombe of Bismarck, N.D., and Carol and Ken Pralle of Wymore, Neb,; brothers and spouse, William Von Kampen of Sun Lakes, Ariz., and Theodore and Lorrie Von Kampen of Scottsbluff, Neb.; grandchildren, Austin Korgan, Whitney Korgan, Scott Coombe, Chris Coombe, Ryan Coombe, Lindsay Bostanzoglou, Carmen Rottinghaus, Cassandra Reuthe, Brooke Mitchell, and Kelsey Pralle; and nine great-grandchildren.
