Grain bins lead new construction for month

McCOOK, Neb. — Building activity remains strong in McCook, with commercial buildings estimated at over $400,000 topping new construction for last month.

For February, grain bins estimated at $454,723 led new commercial building, according to the City of McCook’s building report.

Total new construction/plumbing and mechanical for February came to $469,223. This included residential remodel, new door, at $500; one new sign, $2,000; and deck replacement, $12,000.

For the year so far, new building/plumbing/mechanical within city limits totals $18,244,653.
