GOLDEN, Colo. — Dale Ira Williams, son of Dale Williams and Francine De Vecchi, was born on April 2, 1947, in McCook, Neb. His mother was from Marseille, France and passed away shortly after his birth. He was then raised by his paternal grandparents, Ira and Matilda Williams of McCook.

He passed away on Sunday evening, Jan. 27, 2019, at his home in Golden. He was 71 years and 9 months old.

He served in the U.S Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He married Rosa Maria Lunbery on April 15, 1966, in Oberlin, Kan.

Dale is survived by his wife and their four children: one daughter, Gina of Fort Worth, Texas; three sons, Brian and Mark of Golden and Ray of Denver, Colo. He also had six grandchildren, Kinzer, Kyle, Heather, Akyta, Hosanna, Serafina, with one more on the way and three great-grandchildren, Sapphire, Zion and Dale.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and step-mother, Edna Cockran Williams; grandparents, Ira and Matilda Williams; grandson, Kyle Christopher Abeyta; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Celebration of life will be Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver with military honors.

Inurnment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
